Guest Designer for 7Kids Craft Store!!

I'm a Guest Designer today for 7 Kids Crafting Store!!! WOOOHOOO!!!! If you haven't shopped with Kelli over at 7 Kids you are missing out on some really cute stamps!!!   She even just started carrying an exclusive line of Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez stamps!

Look at my goodies I purchased from her store. Shes so sweet and included a written message and goodie!  The new Neat and Tangled stamp set Get Yeti and the simply stencil Rice Paddies.  I just love that stencil, you can use it so many different ways and I  couldn't wait to make a card with it.

Now onto my card :)

So here's what I came up with :)  I decided I wanted the look of snow swirling in the wind as the Yeti and doggie travel along the snowy bankSo I blended some Distress inks and placed the stencil over it.  I then took some glitter paste and applied it on top of the stencil :)  Viola!  It looks like snow in the air right?

I hope you enjoyed visiting my blog today and please visit Kelli over at for more crafty goodies!!!  Until later, Happy Crafting!!

Just a wee bit of Watercoloring practice ...

Hi Friends,

For the past couple days i've been working on a card for a guest designer post so I can't show you that just yet.  However, I do have a watercolor painting to share with you :). I love watercoloring and trying to practice my painting skills.  This is part of a color challenge from a watercolor artist I follow. I'm really pleased with the way this came out.  I had thought to paint some teees or maybe a tiny little house/Village but I didn't want to mess it up. Lol. So until I get some courage to add those things, this is how it will stay.
And.....  the artist I was doing this as a part of loved it!!!  Yippee im excited to continue learing to watercolor :)

So whats your favorite coloring medium to work with?  I can't decide.. there's just to many out there! :)

Until another day, happy Crafting!!

To Somone Special

Hi Friends!!

Thanks for stopping by :)  Joanna Munster from Inspired by Stamping asked for a few volunteers willing to color up this beautiful sunflower image for her upcoming newsletter.  So I jumped at the chance to play around with a Digi Stamp and an opportunity to color.   Why not, right?!?

I ended up making two cards.  The one on the right  I printed as is onto watercolor paper and then ran it through my laminator with some foil.   I wasn't 100% sure this would work but wanted to try it out anyways.   Guess what, it works!!  I used my Daniel Smith watercolors to color up the image.   You can't really see the shine in the picture above but here's one at an angle so you can see it better.

For the second card, I took the digital image and separated the words from the image.  Then I placed one at the top, flipped one around and placed it on the bottom with the sentiment in the middle.  Once printed,  I colored it up with my prismacolor pencils.

If you would like this sunflower digital image for FREE just click on her link above and sign up for her newsletter.  The images are only available to newsletter subscribers.  While your there you should take a look around her site.  She has a lot of beautiful things!!

Hope everyone has a wonderful day and again thanks for stopping by!!

Well i've gone and done it now......

Started a blog that is!!!!!   Hello and welcome :)  I've been toying with the idea of starting up a blog again.  I haven't had one in years but I
want a place that I can share all my crafty creations.  A little about me,  I love all things crafty and always seem to be trying something new.  I have a sweet & cuddly black doodle by the name of Zoey. She's my sweetheart so I may post a couple pics of her on the blog too!    I'm hoping to post weekly or maybe even sometimes a couple times a week.  Hey,  let's just see how this goes!!  Thanks for stopping by and joining Zoey & I on this new journey.   Happy Crafting!!!
